This relates to my Previa trans swap, but if Toyota used this size clutch hydraulic line in other vehicles, seems more general.

I need to transplant the clutch hydraulic line from the donor van into the recipient, but can't remove the front clutch hydraulic line from master cylinder to the clutch accumulator without cutting it, so I'll need to create a repair joint.

The line uses 12mm (wrench size) flare fittings. I am not finding info on what the correct flare is for this line. I'll need to source a flaring tool and repair coupling.

Anyone know what line size, flare angle and fitting size is correct for this tube??

Thanks.

Quick follow up: i cut the line out and took it to Carquest. The line is either 1/4" or metric equivalent to 1/4", I'll rejoin it in place with SAE 1/4" flare fittings.

Years ago I did something similar on my 89 van. When I installed the transmission cooler, I extended the steel transmission cooler lines with standard 5/16" or 3/8" brake line (don't remember which now). Adapting metric to standard wasn't exact, but was close enough to get solid flares & make leak free connections. Tim
