I've made this upgrade quite some time ago but wanted to share with my Previa people out there that you can add loads of additional light that is warm in color and draws very little power. Pardon the sub-par cellphone images. In person, the appearance is a very well light cabin

The two main interior lamps compromise of 48 SMD LEDs on a single board and are festoon mount for plug-and-play installation.

The side-mounted trunk led is a 6-LED festoon bulb.

This is very cool! I did need to Google a few terms to learn more about LED lights, but what's this forum for after all?

Just be sure I'm understanding you correctly, you didn't need to make any modifications to get them installed right? They just plugged into the old bulb socket? You must have had to mount them with a few screws?

I obviously don't have much technical background, but I'm here to learn and this is one great site!

I also made this upgrade, but I used the bright white 48 LED panels. Very impressive & very worthwhile upgrade. Thanks for sharing. Tim

PS: Most of these lights come with adapters to attach to multiple type of bulb sockets. Mine were plug-n-play.

I'm a dealer for Blackhawk LED lights. Here's a link to their website: http://www.blackhawkledlights.com/. The light kits that work in the Previa are the 1st ones listed (Part #CAL48W). Tim

Awesome and from the NW! I dont have my van til thursday to look at it, but how many of these can be put on? There's the front front and side (assuming they use the same). Any more info on that rear one?

I did the front & side but didn't try the back. FWIW, I just let the light panel lay inside the lens. Tim

Hey, I'd like to convert to LEDs for interior lighting. I'll be adding a couple dome lights and wiring the side door light on a house battery. Also want to convert front dome light, but will leave that on the starting battery.

In terms of buying these LED festoon panels, there are many different ones available with different numbers of LEDs. No one publishes lumen output, so it is impossible to compare for ambient vs reading light etc.

I do not want to increase brightness in the front dome light and do not want blinding brightness for the general ambient cabin light setup, but do want individually switched dome lights for reading.

So, any recommendations for numbers of warm white LEDs in replacement "bulbs" for these applications?

Thanks
