Has anyone ever used a remanufactured engine company? O' Reily's or online?

I was weighing options last night and I talked to a few people that have had good results and of course seen the bad reviews online.

Anyone picked up a motor from one of these companies?

Any suggestions?

I won't use any of them
use a reputable local shop or if not, send it to a well known shop that builds performance engines
anyone can build an engine, but to do it right so that it runs very smooth, reliable, and a long time is a different story

Sadly I have to agree with "The Man". I've seen too many crap jobs to trust anybody......and the Previa engines are a bit sensitive & vulnerable to the smallest of mistakes. If you want to do it right, do it yourself................or, get a low mileage Japanese engine to put in there. They're available with approx 50k miles on them and range from $700 - $1,000. Tim

Thanks again guys.

I was hopeful when I saw a good priced engine from Gig Harbor, WA, but the yelp reviews were horrible.

I was trying to curb the costs a bit, but it looks like it is back to the same game plan.
