Howdy,

This is my first post to this awesome forum.

I am looking for a good way to get two 8 AWG wires from the interior of my 1995 Previa directly to the battery. I have done this before on old pickups and such where the firewall is basically bare metal with a lot of open spaces. Piece of cake. The interior side of the firewall on the Previa is packed with modules, harnesses, insulation, etc. I don't see a great spot to drill through. I am contemplating going through the hatch under the driver's seat, but am concerned that it may be a tad too hot under there.

Any been there, done thats are most appreciated.

Thanks.

-Mike

Hi & Welcome to TVT! I'm not sure how different a 95 is to a 91 in this area, but I've put a couple holes through my 91. The easiest and least obtrusive way is to poke a hole in the rubber boot where the main harness comes through (see upper right arrow). I used an Exacto knife to slice the boot, then I forced the wire through from the outside in. The other one was drilled and lined with a plastic grommet. Tim

Thanks, Tim, for the welcome and the advice. I will have a closer look at the areas that you marked in your pic.

Thanks again.
