95 SC Parts help

In search of SAD shaft couplings and oil cooler gasket . It's time to replace the valve cover gasket again as well but I got a line on that .
The shop I let check it out told me the couplings and oil pump gasket is not available anywhere . I think they are just afraid to work on a
previa . I can do the work myself I just wanted to pay someone this time. Hope I posted this in the right spot . It has been a while since I
posted and I hope I can keep my Previa running for a while. After the guy said that today I did not know whether or not to throw in the towel
and move on to a Subaru or keep the van .

The oil pump gasket is an odd-shaped O-ring thing, and I'm sure they are available from Toyota. Getting the cover off requires a JIS screwdriver bit and an impact hammer, though. If you try to get them off with a Philips bit, you are nearly certain to bugger at least one of the 11 or so screws.
I've never done it with the engine in the car, only when the engine is out and the front cover is off so that I can bang on it easily and directly. But I'm fairly sure it's possible.

The couplings are available in a bunch of ways. There are many posts about them.

I agree that the shop you're using doesn't want to fuss with it. Chance are they have plenty of work lined up doing more conventional things.

As to the Subaru, I wouldn't see that as the end-all solution. You might wind up with blown head gaskets on a 2.5 liter engine, unless you get a really new one or one with records of recent repair from a shop who knows the issue. The old 2.2 engines were pretty bomb-proof, but they're getting scarce. If you're willing to get filthy and bloody-knucked working on old Previas, they will serve you well. Come to think of it, Previas and the EJ22 Subaru engines went out of production at nearly the same time.
