Hey everyone! I'm super new here on the forum. Long story short, I just bought a 91 Base Previa 5-speed manual and want to replace my clutch master cylinder, but I can't locate the clutch reservoir! I just had the clutch and flywheel replaced a week ago and the mechanic told me I need a new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. So i want to tackle it myself. I had the clutch and flywheel replaced because my clutch pedal doesn't fully engage(slight crunch when I shift periodically) and also doesn't spring back all the way up when I disengage the pedal (I have to lift the clutch pedal up with my foot every time i shift). I guess replacing the clutch and flywheel wasn't the problem because its doing the same thing. I already bought the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. I can find the clutch master cylinder because obviously its behind the clutch pedal, but the slave master cylinder and clutch reservoir, not really. I heard that the clutch and brake master cylinder share reservoirs; Is that true??? My questions are:

1. Where is clutch fluid reservoir?(So i can replace it with new fluid as i bleed the system)
2. Where is the slave cylinder located?
3. Do i bleed the clutch system via slave cylinder like most cars?
4. Does the clutch master cylinder and brake master cylinder share the same reservoir? If so, how would i go about bleeding the system?
5. Does anyone have a "How To" write up?

I've searched online everywhere, youtube and on this forum. I can't find anything at all. I also bought a Previa Hayes manual and still no luck on the matter. If anyone ever replaced these parts, have done a write up or anything, I would greatly appreciate any info on it.

1.The clutch reservoir (yes it's the same as the brake reservoir and uses the same DOT 3 brake fluid) is behind the instrument cluster. You can see the lid for it when you open the driver's door.

2. Slave cylinder is on the side of the transmission. If you're laying inside your van with the sliding door open, stick your head out of the sliding door and look under the van, it'll be right there in your face.

3.You can bleed the clutch system from the slave cylinder, and there is another bleeder stem on a weird junction point behind the front bumper.

4. Refer to answer 1, and you bleed it just like anything else. pump the clutch a few times to wiggle any air bubbles that may be in there, then hold the pedal down to keep the pressure on the line when the bleeder is opened. Make sure to close the bleeder stem tightly before raising the clutch pedal again or you'll suck air in. This can be a two person job if you're not creative.

5. Yes, you have to search harder. It's archaic I know but you actually have to read entire threads sometimes to get all the info you need. Also you have to search using multiple key words in multiple combinations to really get what you're looking for.
