If you have ordered parts from someone (not on this forum) and the parts were not actually available, were substantially not as represented, did not fit, or did not perform to OEM standards, please post details in this thread.

If the parts-not-actually-available issue has been discussed on TVT, please post a link to that discussion as well.

In 2016, an eBay seller ("genuinepartswarehouse") listed new OEM radiator for 87-89 Toyota 4WD Vans. The radiators were in fact NEVER available through this seller, and were NLA long before the listing.

Read the full details in this TVT discussion (https://www.toyotavantech.com/forum/showthread.php?3780-New-OEM-Toyota-4wd-Radiators-on-eBay-(Spendy)) (thread closed).

The junk yards I found my lower arms at, both know of Quality Auto Parts and refuse to do business with them!

I was contacted by someone through posting a wanted ad on row52/pick n pull site. He showed pictures of the van and didn't seem very scammy but he was. He was asking for a money order. He even supplied a forged driver's license. This is a word of caution from anyone contacting you through the web. I had no idea people were trying to scam off a row52 wanted ad for a used transmission.

This is a word of caution from anyone contacting you through the web.

This was the reason behind Admin decision to make the TVT Wanted section not viewable by the general public — we didn't want members to be targeted by scammers. Putting out there that you want something is kind of like giving the scammers all the answers they need ... what do you want, how badly, etc.

Members could conceivably scam, too, but at least we all have the option to go back through their posts so we can make informed decisions about whether they're legit and/or long-time van owners, or suspect because they suddenly appeared on the scene.

not impressed with the "MADE IN TW/CN/IN" timing set that came with my enginetech rebuild kit...chain plates are thin with biggish gaps on the pins. also the tensioner plunger has lateral play to it that i dont like either..anyone have better experience with other brands? i know i know just get oem but im on a budget..

I'm contemplating buying parts I saw on https://www.jvilaplas.com/ but the price looks suspiciously low for "OEM" part.

Has anyone ordered from them with good or bad results?
