t-stat how not to

Just replaced the thermostat because of...wait for it... underheating!!! weird but true . anyways, after consulting the tech library (thank you, awesome info!) i got the new one installed and im pretty sure i did a better job than the PO. how the thing held water ill never know, but it did. ive done my fair share of drunk wrenching but to bend the t-stat out of round on install???

I think my van was having the underheating issue too. The heater never worked and the temp gauge rarely crept up to the 5 o clock position. Where does your temp gauge read now? Mine stays right in the middle of the white portion of the gauge and sometimes slightly higher.
