Good morning everyone, been an owner of a 2000 Toyota Previa (new shape) 2.4vvti for nearly 5 years and have had absolutely no issues at all until now

Started it this morning and its showing low engine oil warning and battery warning lights, both are false warnings as the oil level is bang on max and the charge system goes from 12.5 volt to 13.8 when engine is started and the battery is not going flat, absolutely no issues apart from the lights being on!

Any ideas?

P.S. obviously the aux drive belt is on and is in good condition/not slipping and i have had a fiddle with the multi plug connector on the alternator, that and the main cable are secure, the vehicle has always been meticulously maintained.

I doubt you'll find much help here... you have one of the lame front-engine vans lol

Other than chasing wires, Toyota in the old days used combinations of warning lights to indicate failures not covered by specific lights. For example, battery+brake+ABS on my old cressida meant the alternator was going out in a way that wouldn't trigger the battery light. (IE diodes going bad so too much ripple or some such). I'd get the alternator tested with an electronic tester that checks the ripple. Other than that, I got nothin.

The first thing to check with stuff like that is the battery - with a load tester, i.e. one that actually draws some current from the battery to see how it holds up. When an older lead-acid battery fails, it will often unexpectedly "drop out" while it's under load.

That can cause any number of glitchy behavior as digital circuity winds up in an "indeterminate state."
