Hi y’all I’m a new owner of a 1986 LE and if like to firstly thank all of you for all of the help and knowledge you’re sharing!
My issue: I have a very large amount of pressure coming from my gas tank (I’m burping it after most drives)
Twice now after filling the tank the next day when parked after some time driving about a quart of fuel has leaked from the tank/pump area. I’ve taken it to a shop that claimed their are no leaks in the system.
Any leads to what I need to inspect or replace would be very much appreciated!

Building pressure isn't necessarily a sign of a problem but leaks are, if its been inspected and there are no leaks reported perhaps you worth reviewing your feeling procedure?
Not saying it's the case but have seen it so many times on all makes and models its worth a mention.
Gas comes out of the ground significantly cooler than ambient temperature (most locales, most of the year)
So if your fuelling on your way home and its a cool night and you fill past where the auto shut-off kicks in, then when the sun comes up oil the morning and everything starts to heat up that gas starts expanding.
If over filled, that expanding gas has only 2 places to go, out the filler neck or back up thru the vapour lines to the charcoal canister (NLA, by the way)
Probably worth a look.

Thank you for the suggestion. I was planning on replacing the charcoal canister after running into this but quickly found it it’s nla. Wondering if anyone has tried to refurbish theirs? Or on some off chance if one from a pickup or 4Runner could work?

I had to replace mine due to rust.
It wasn't NLA at that point but may as well have been given the price I was quoted
I tried the usual suspects but none would work (easily), too much time devoted and a kind TVT member P&P'd one for me.
As with all things TV, they made parts to fit available parameters rather than gong with off-the-shelf parts.
Very little shares with the siblings.
As long as it isn't contaminated (or rusted out), I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
Finding the cause of the leak though is another story.
Too many TV's have been lost to the God of fire
And if the fuelling procedure isn't the cause, look to those same vent/vapour lines as a potential leak source, the shop may not have considered them to be "in play" when they did their inspection.

Right on. Thank you for the advise. Could you tell me where it is located looked for one I could potentially refurbish at pick n pull but couldn’t find it (haven’t opened that side of my engine bay yet) perhaps it was already pulled? Thanks

It is well hidden.
Located between the back side of the air filter box (lower half) and the bulkhead.
That bulkhead separates the air filter box from the battery compartment and the backside of that bulkhead has the mounting tab for the FL 1.25 fusible link.
