Hello, can someone kindly assist. Currently replacing SADS on 93 previa. Having trouble locating sads that fit.
Located Dorman part no.: 630-900 that fit fine. Unfortunately, located a single coupler. It appears to have been discontinued by Dorman.
I've tried several Febest couplers with no luck.
Can someone point me to a part that fits straight out of the box?
OK if need to purchase as a set.
Thanks in Advance!
Ernest

Sorry that I can't offer personal experience (still running on ABCmarts couplers for 60K miles), but people in Yahoo's Previa forum reported good life and performance from BMW couplers, such as p/n 26 11 1 225 624. One report from 2015:

"They are incredibly inexpensive (I think around $40-50 each) compared to even some of the lame options out there. They are incredibly tough. Consider they are used as the actual driveline couplers to put the rubber to the road on the 3 cars! They are a tad thicker, not a problem…maybe 1/8”. The holes line up perfectly. The holes are the wrong diameter (10mm vs 8mm bolts) so you need to modify things a tad. We chose the 3/8” brake line (easily available for less than $4/ft at any auto parts store) approach and cut them into 1” pieces, total 12. We also had to cut them lengthwise with a Dremel so the bolts would fit through and it was not a problem and shims the holes just fine."

So the fit is not "straight out of the box" but is an easy adaptation. Sorry, I don't have a picture, but another poster compared them to these after-market BMW couplers <https://www.ebay.com/itm/360657294581>. That said, people using BMW couplers generally reported better luck with German parts.

It sounds like your Febest couplers are made for the later-model 14mm counterbore, rather than the 12.5mm counterbore used 91-94. They may have a version for the 12.5mm.

Thanks for the info, I don't think I'm ready for modifying the bmw couplers. Have you examined the ABCmarts couplers? see how they are holding up. i saw them on ebay, they are relatively inexpensive.

I was also considering Napa part also on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auxiliary-Shaft-Coupler-Service-Shaft-Coupling-Kit-fits-91-93-Toyota-Previa/332286593755?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.S EED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D225086%26meid%3D6232b5637f6f4 64b96a5b37e60824d18%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D3%26rkt% 3D15%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D313280995715%26itm%3D33 2286593755%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26br and%3DNAPA&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A5adea70c-1cc8-11eb-8441-326aaae226a0%7Cparentrq%3A875427e61750a4d497759064 fff86b5e%7Ciid%3A1

Couplers are still good -- but then I got over 240K on the OE couplers. One thing I've learned about longevity: Metal may go fast in the rust belt (where I am), but rubber goes fast in the sun belt (where you are).

The look comparable to OE and others. I would be inclined to give them a try.

I think John hit it on the head that those are for the later models. You might be able to just make some spacer sleeves. I have no personal experience with doing so.
