TVT Friends,

On the 4WD, my differential looks like it seeping fluid from the front side, facing the back of the engine. I changed the diff oil and the level seemed fine prior to the change.
I can't seem to fine a thread on this, but wanted to know if there is a gasket or, simply, what's the work like in this area to make sure it's sealed.

I typed in "differential seal" and 29 threads came up, give that a try and see which one is closest to the issue your experiencing and post in that thread this will notify other members and get a quicker reply.

Good luck:thmbup:

There is a round seal behind the pinion yoke. Yoke bolts up the the driveline and this seal usually comes in Yukon rebuilt kits that also come with bearings, thread locker, and paint to check after setting you backlash and pinion depth so your gear mesh is good; suppose to be around 0.06" to 0.10".

However I don't know which kit to get. If you seal is leaking you might not need a rebuilt kit, check you gear wear pattern and backlast amount with magnet gauge.
