Hi All,
I have a 1993 3CT van and I cannot locate the thermal switch that operates the fan attached to the lower coolant radiator. If anyone knows where it is , please let me know. It is definitely not up on the hot water manifold on the top of the engine on the driver's side....
Thank you!

I don't know where it is. But I'm following your posts, as I also have a 93 with 3CT. I tried to take it up a steep mountain grade, pushed her too hard and over-heated. Since then I'm been worried about the cooling.

I put a second temp gauge at the output lower hose on the main radiator. I also had the lower rad blown out at a radiator shop. I also put the lower radiator fan on a toggle switch. So the temp gauge I installed tells me the water temp as water comes out of the lower radiator. So I can see the main water temp and the dash temp gauge is up high on the engine and gives a reading on the motor . Between the two, I have a good idea of what the whole picture is . I also checked that my fluid coupled fan works. I have yet to throw the toggle on the lower radiator fan. They make inline pipes with a threaded fitting for a temp sender. So one can cut the lower hose somehere in the middle and splice in the pipe and sensor and secure it with hose clamps.
I should take a couple of photos and write this up. I hope your engine is OK !
