hello, my name is Chris from the french part of Canada.. i once drove with a band of buddies from Montreal to a city in Florida in VW that had a wvo kit..... in 1 tank. the dude had diesel .. in another tank he had filtered waste vegetable oil.... he started on diesel, warmed up the engine.. the coolant passed through the waste oil tank.. made it thinner..so my question is as follows... i want to do this for myself in my current location (Philippines).. to a 1996 Toyota Hiace van(without the wvo kit)... the van has a 1KZ engine... mechanical fuel pump... and low pressure IDI.. i was told that the best diesel cars to drive without modification is 1985 mercedes with W124 engine or Sanyong Musso,Rexton)... just pour 20L of diesel in the tank and pour 20L of filtered waste cooking oil (not boiled and all waste cooking oil in the Philippine is either coconut oil or palm oil)i think i was told to always drive with a spare fuel filter in the vehicle at all times...as an added percaution i wnt to add a small bottle of STP Diesel Fuel Treatment (Derfoe)...some kind of lubricy somthing fluid....your valued opinioins please....
