My son and I are trying to take the air conditioner out of my van. He hit a kangaroo at the front, see pictures and the excess was going to be $2500 as he is only 20. So we are trying to fix it ourselves. We are trying to take the air conditioner out so we can push the dent out from the inside. There was gas leaking into the van so we thought we better get the Aircon out and check everything behind there.
Can someone please help with how to get the Aircon out? We seem to be taking bolts and screws out and nothing’s moving. And we’re finding it difficult to find any more bolts or screws. Does anyone know the tricky spots where these are to get this out.
I am aware that the van would have been written off, if we had of paid the $2500, however, I have done quite a lot of work to my dear Betty to make her a camper and would like to try and fix it first. My son also does not have $2500 for the excess.
