1989 Toyota cargo van seems to run excellent except sometimes it won’t start, it cranks and wants to start (gets so close) I’m getting code 51 and have a new tps on the way. I replaced the igniter bc a friend of mine thought that could be it. Any leads or someone who fixed this issue please let me know

If its only doing it after the engine is hot, then it is likely the heat soak problem these vans are prone to. Try lifting the seat up and letting the heat escape for a few minutes or blowing air over it. If it fires up after doing that then its hear soak.

It’s doing it in the mornings actually, never throughout the day. I’m assuming this could also be a cold start issue. But I’m troubleshooting as I go, hasn’t happened again in almost a week. Thank you!
