The wire is the door-closed sensor. For cleaning i would suggest a can of brake part cleaner and some fresh grease first, because they are indeed not ment to be opened.. i may have a broken open one...
i couldn't find any writing on the back of the steel rim when I took it off and put the new tires in. I sure hope i don't need a spare before i get back home, where I can compare it to known Previa...
