My front right wheel bearing is bad and when I was sliding the CV axle around I notice a lot of play where the inner CV bolts to the axle tube. Is there a bearing right inside there? How do get it out? Thanks.Attachment 7356

Hello, I know this is an old thread; but I thought would give it a try. I noticed the same thing when I removed my right side CV axle assembly. While driving at highway speeds I noticed a strong vibration at highway speeds one day, coupled with erratic handling. I check underneath the Previa and notice that right, outer CV boot had split and was dry. I assume that caused the vibration. I was surprised to see the split boot because I didn't hear any clicking while turning before this.
Anyway, I did notice a lot of play where the inner CV bolts to the axle tube like the original poster. Is this normal or could my failing cv joint have caused some damage in the axle tube or diff? Chugach, how did you handle your issue?
Thanks for any help.
