Toyota Van Part-Out IV: The Revenge

Hey guys,

I swore I was done with these for a while after my last part-out, but another van literally fell into my lap last weekend, at the bargain-basement price of free! Thanks to forum members pablocolada and boogieman for helping arrange this transaction. This van is another '86 Deluxe 2wd, this time its a 5-speed that made it just over 296,000 miles before catastrophic engine failure brought it to sit in the desert for nearly 15 years until it found its way to my yard. I have next to no money in this thing, and I'm hoping to help move as many parts to new homes as possible before I send her off to the crusher. As before, I'll be keeping this van for about 2 months before I send her on her way, so everyone has until early March to make requests. I've been keeping a list of what sells from my other part-outs, and I also have an idea of what is valuable/rare as a fellow van owner. Those parts will be pulled and inventoried even if they don't sell so that they can be sold later on as the need arises. As before, a portion of the profits goes towards site upkeep, so keep that in mind when making me offers.

This time, I am comfortable enough with my cut-off wheel that I am willing to ship sheet metal! This van, AFAIK, is an original AZ vehicle so it should be rust-free! The main caveat is that the sheet metal size has to be able to ship via USPS. Also, life circumstances and a new role at work mean that I really only have the weekends currently to pull parts so please, be reasonable with pull times and shipping times. My plan is to mail out each order the Saturday after I receive payment. If anyone who is new here is wondering about my credentials, here, here, and here are the other times I have successfully done this. I'll ship to US or Canada ONLY, I also only accept PayPal or Venmo. To make a request, simply send me a PM or reply directly to this thread with your request.

Hi, I just purchased an 87 2WD LE Van ... so I have 2 days experience as a Toyota van owner. Will your '86 parts work on my '87?

Neither the side door nor the back door opens consistently. The side door exterior handle is completely broken, it used to open from the inside but now it doesn't (not a child lock issue). The back door only opens from the inside.

So, I'd like to get the back and sliding side door exterior handles if available.

I needs some other bits so when you are free, send me a txt or give me a call. I can come pull those parts of your would rather me do it. I may also want the front carpets if they are decent. Unfortunately, this part is broken, unless you just need the mirror itself and not the whole assembly (the black part)?

Would you have the power steering pump (with pulley and mounting brackets) and the power steering pump reservoir (also with its mounting bracket)?

I hope that I am not too late. I bought an 87 4wd. I was out driving it last night when a little fire started under the passenger seat. It was fairly contained but the heater box and associated wiring are toast. I would love all of the heater parts and the access covers. Thanks in advance, Tristan.

I'll send you a PM later but I unloaded the van a couple of weeks ago so I'm limited in the parts that I have right now. If you're able to post pictures I may have more parts you need but I don't have the rear a/c stuff; it's a bummer too since those were in the van when it got crushed.

I could use the right rear tail light. We poked a hole in the red part of ours so we only need that part, but I assume it comes with the whole tail light assembly - shipped to St. Louis, MO.

I know this is a long shot. I really need a radiator for an 86 2wd. Recoring isn't an option due to rust damage

This may also be a long shot, but do you have the fan shroud for the radiator? I also need the drivers side master switch for the windows (and door locks), and the plastic cover for the rear bench seat belt (it's small and mounts on the wall of our vans, and hides the bolt for the shoulder seat belt). I could also use the arm rest for the front seat passenger seat.

Any chance you have the dome light cover for the rear passenger compartment?

Hey Perry - I need the arm rest of the front passenger seat, and the seat bolt covers from the rear bench seat ( located on the rear wall of the van , right and left. I also need the radiator shroud

One other thing - the rear climate control panel with intact cables

I meant seat belt bolt covers (plastic covers)
