Hi TV heads,
when i got my 88 hi ace about 6 mnths ago, 1st thing i did was put new plugs in. i noticed they were a light grey colour indicating running a little lean. After having bought a very...
Yep. Checked that, DJS. It was only just below the minimum level. No sign of leakage atthe wheels or master cyl.
Top Tip! filled up the fluid and no more brake light staying on.
Thanks - doc
Hmm, not sure Cap. Mine doesn't have one nor does it have a screw hole as in your picture. I think the HiAce and LiteAce models just folded the passenger and middle seats right back so that they...
GREAT! My dash brake light is staying on. I thought it may have been a stuck brake shoe, but no indication of that, so I'll try the fluid reservoir.
Thanks to the spelling officer (so I could find...
Very Cool, Captain!
I have a rather nice fabricated 1" square tube divider "of sorts" which was in my hiace when I bought it, so I just use a short Octopus Strap (we'll that what we call them in OZ...
Cheers BikerJosh. he musta dropped off my tools, Cds, cushions, etc. by mistake then. haha:thmbup:
Done mate.
These will look cool as.
Cheers - doc
Yeah she's great!! They pinched my CDs and a bunch of tools as well as my "just perfect" couch back-cushions and a self inflating double mattress. Battery was so flat it wouldn't even jump start....
YAY!! I got her back!!!!
Looks like I'd still like those stickers.
PM me your Paypal address and I'll put some $$ in.

Thanks for your good vibes. My city is a small one in a small state, but there's lots of bush and farms. I've got my fingers crossed, but I'm not holding my breath.
If I have to get a new van I'll...
Yeah. I'm just gutted! Just put a new roller bracket & adjuster on the sliding door last weekend and did some tightening & tidying up. Love(d) that van. I'm hoping for the best, but really I expect...
Forget about those (very cool) stickers, man.
My van was stolen last night. I'm not holding out any great hopes for it's recovery.
Bummed out big time!
I'll get back in touch if it's found or...
Hi armorrell,
do you still have any of these? I'd be keen to get one of each if you would post to Australia.
Let me know.
Cheers - Doc
I realise I'm just a noob myself - to TVs and to this forum.
However, I gotta say I was WELL PLEASED with the response I got when I posted about issues I was having with my sliding door. JDM VANMAN...
Worst case scenario is that when your engine was overhauled (assuming the bottom end was done), the Flywheel wasn't tightened sufficiently which results in it developing a wobble and screwing up the...
P.P.S: JDM,my centre rail and rollers are sweet as a nut, but thanks for taking the time for the extra pics. Gonna like this forum!
Thanks heaps guys!!
got the door working better than since i’ve owned it. Your tips Gwen, and especially your pics JDM helped me understand how it SHOULD be. One handed open and close now; although...
Thanks JDM. Great photos. Sadly it’s foul whether here today so it’ll have to wait at least ‘til tomorrow. And yep photo wise the more the better. The bracket looks similar. The “lower roller in...
Thanks Gwen.
guess I’ll figure it out. Only had it a couple months and the slide door has always been a bit iffy - needs a bit of support when opening and closing.
Appreciate your comments.
cheers...
Thanks for your reply Gwen. I have the door closed and locked, but had to remove bottom roller to do so. What i really need to know is how that bottom roller fits into the track on the van, then I...
I have a 1988 hi ace van. The sliding door has seen better days but was working fine until my 35kg staffyxridgeback tried to jump out while still tied to an anchor point in back of the van. She...
