Quick update - I just scored an 87 Tercel 4wd wagon that I'll be road tripping from Seattle to Dallas later this month. My van is still for sale, but I'm in no hurry now that I have a buddy Toy to...
I read through the big thread the search keeps turning up, and it mostly deals with the upper control arms, part numbers, and using a pickle fork. I have all that sorted, but was wondering if anyone...
Yeah. Getting one machined like in that thread was my first thought. I hit 7 different machine shops in the Dallas area and the closest I got was 'we can't weld aluminum.' At that point I decided...
Cool, thanks for the reply. That's what it looked like, but I couldn't figure out why an auto would need one and a manual wouldn't. Based on that it seems like closing everything off with a forklift...
Anybody know what the big(ger) coolant hose on the 4wd auto rear cylinder plate does?
I couldn't find anything on it in the cooling section of the FSM, but it looks like it runs to a ring around...
Is the manual transmission from a 4wd? And does all parts for conversion include the passenger side hatch & transfer case?
If so I'm very interested, and my van might stop being for sale. In...
Ok, it's really for sale now. $7,250, but I'll let it go for $6,000 as long as the 80s 4runner I'm looking at for $6.000 hasn't sold. Then it's back up. Until I find something else i want to drive...

the short version - it's old, it's brittle, it snapped in half when I was replacing the coil, and it also says Do Not Remove. How big a problem is that going to be?
Just finished a timing case gasket replacement. Since I was mucking about in there anyway, I swapped out the timing set. I used a Fel-Pro gasket kit and a Cloyes timing kit. Both available @...
Thanks Tim, I never would have caught that the way it was taped so far down to the sensor wires. I’m wondering if that was responsible for the way she’s always bogging down after puddles.
I'm assuming this one is California's fault, but I couldn't find it in this thread or any others google gave me:

Ratatouille,
Sorry to resurrect an old thread if that breaks protocol, but I figured it would proved I searched for an answer, and this is the closest I came. Did the that fix you puddle problem?...
Hi,
did the transmission and transfer case go with the van?
I assume the 5 speed is transmission only? Interested if it includes shifter assembly.
I could use the read hatch, sliding door, and rear bench seat if they're in good condition. And the strap that holds the seat in place to get you under the hood. I imagine slapping them on a pallet...
