Yes, putting it into reverse and back out is shutter free now. Something else that was cured that I guess I had just gotten use to was the steering wheel vibration at idle, the kind of vibration...

Today was the day for disassembly, found that the problem was the plug had come out. Fog lite in question works now. Had some problems getting it apart though. The cornering light has to come out...
The cornering light has to come out first before the trim can come out, one screw is under there. Chiltons shows only two screws holding it in, but after removal of the screws, something else was...
Aloha. Is the fog light one assembly or does it have a bulb that plugs into the back? I went to O'Riley's, they have no listing. Discontinued part? Ebay time? It will be a few days before I can...
Ok, driver side motor mount is changed. I've only driven it 4 miles, will take some further evaluation but I'm pleased  The reverse shudder seems to be gone. The van sits level, no slight...
Will do ninz30. Ordering aftermarket this weekend, will be a few weeks before I install.
I decided to Google ""vehicle shakes in reverse" last night. The common thread that came up consistently regardless of vehicle was broken trans or motor mounts. My trans mounts are brand new, motor...
I have a moderate rattle/shake when I put my 89 LE in reverse and back up. Any ideas as to what that is? I'm thinking drive shaft. This has been going on for a quite a while, but I had a...
So I went to the Toyota dealer and had them check out the seal on their computer. It did appear to be a seal I could dig out and replace so I purchased it, 12 bucks, and I replaced it today. I had...
I'm trying to pinpoint an auto tranny leak in my 89. Might just be the pan gasket, but...
On the drivers side, just above the pan is a shallow, circular recess and you can see the end of a shaft...
Uhm, yeah, that hot wire on top of the alt was more than a little loose, let's try that.
Problem isn't completely solved yet. Came home after some evening driving and notice my lights were dim. Shut it down and tried to start again, no dice. No Christmas tree or charging light came on...
I had some work done by a mechanic recently and I know he changed the hose but I'm not sure if he changed the seal. I see signs that the leak is drying up, but I'll keep an eye on it.
Thanks for the help!
Checked battery voltage @ 2000 rpms via tach. Never got above 13.70 V. I'm thinking the belt was too tight since loosening it seemed to be what quieted the whine. I'm going with it for now.
Thanks Tim, I'll check for the full field condition soon.
Yesterday, I didn't take the alternator to the shop myself. I had to work, so I put it in a back pack, gave it to my daughter and put her...
Gwen - A mechanic told me recently that he thought my battery needs replacing. Thing is, it has a 1/11 sticker on it, so it's not that old, but it's a Walmart wonder. I may replace it today.

I got my alternator rebuilt and back in. Charged the battery, started it up and went on some short errands, so far so good, got a clean dash. Will be watching things closely over the next few days....
Alternator is out. Thank you for the tutorial llamavan, that helped a lot. I did it years ago but it was a lot harder with no knowledge. I'll be taking it to a rebuild shop for testing in a few...
Ok, thanks guys, that's plenty to go on. Sounds like the alternator, it has or does leak PS fluid. I check out Christmas tree light threads and it sounds familiar. Still, the battery isn't down...
So I took off today from home and shortly thereafter just about all my dash warning lights lights came on, except for check engine. Running fine otherwise. Went back home, checked oil level - ok,...
