Just got her started!!!!

So happy :D after cleaning the injectors, oil and filter change, new glow plugs, new starter moter it fired!! and runs :)

However now I have a strange knocking sound....

My Starter was a 28100-64040 2kw which also seems to be what is listed as the correct kw for the 2CT 4WD Auto (i have an auto) (I also found my replacement on ebay, which does particularly help you)...

So new tester has arrived but my starter has decided to pack in. I took it out tested it an sure enough the solenoid is popping it out but the gear isnt spinning:no:.

Okay so tried with some easy start and it definately fired breifly,

guessing this means I have compression. at least in one cylinder

it now turns quicker once the fuel is hooked up but still...

So the test kit I bought doesn't seem to work as when cranking the needle bounces but doesnt hold a reading so thats getting returned and I'll have to wait again for another to arrive :doh:

Just bought myself a Deisel compression tester so will wait for that to arrive, then let yous know how it goes :thmbup:

Still no luck, injectors bled, timing checked and correct. all vacuum hoses look fine..

I guess next would be compression test. Unless anyone has any other ideas..
