    Re: hood protectors and deflectors

Prescient, that. I really liked it too, while it lasted. One day it fell off when I shut the hood, shattering into many pieces.

Now they want nearly $85, even WITH a discount, and I simply will...

The same thing I always do. Get it done somehow. Probably in the street, where I can at last use jackstands. I won't bother rebuilding it, I'll just replace it. There's some guy with a regular shop...

I don't remember it being that awful either but it wasn't fun either. I don't have a garage, workbench or a paved driveway currently, so I'll have to do it in the dirt or in the street and I won't...

    Re: ignition delay

This has been going on for about 10 days, so its at the point to start being concerned. I don't want it to crap out 100 miles away in the desert like my last Previa did. I don't intend to start...

    ignition delay

I'm getting a slight delay between turning the key and when cranking starts. It always cranks and starts just fine, but this delay of only a half second or so surely must be a sign of something going...
  8. Re: Where is the best place to buy the best quality SAD coupling kit ??

I'm certain that no brake sleeves were even used in my installation (I told them to use them but they were idjits), but as long as they are torqued down it doesn't seem to matter. Mine only sheared...

You can stick your finger or a screwdriver or something in the diff fill hole to check the level, so you don't have to guess. Too late now though.

    Re: led headlight conversions

I'm still driving with the Hikari LEDs. Neither of the 2 kinds I've tried have been much different on brights, so I also just keep them on the low beam. Nobody has flashed me (not even the police!)...
  11. Re: Where is the best place to buy the best quality SAD coupling kit ??

I didn't drive it for about 1/3 of that time because my HG blew and I had the engine replaced. But I have driven it 15 to 16 thousand miles including crossing 2/3 of the US twice. I haven't visually...
  12. Re: Where is the best place to buy the best quality SAD coupling kit ??

there were major installing issues because the shop that installed them wasn't qualified to install an air freshener let alone a SADS coupling. Evidence suggests they didn't even tighten the bolts,...
  13. Re: Where is the best place to buy the best quality SAD coupling kit ??

I used the FEBI German-made couplers. Cant really comment on their durability because I've only driven them about 15,000 miles, but they are supposed to be OEM for BMW.

  16. Re: Engine Stalls when I hit a puddle in the rain

lets revive this time-honored classic previa problem!

Last year when I bought this thing it wouldn't even start in the fog, but I replaced the cap and o-ring and thought all was well. Its not.
