You can measure the resistance with an ohmmeter is you can disconnect one end. I predict zero ohms (no resistance). It would have to be a hundred feet long to have measurable resistance.

Larger wire (heavier gauge) will reduce resistance. Longer wire will increase resistance.
Been a while, but I think I just used the bushings from the old shocks. Or I might have found some in my drawer of shock grommets and bushings.
I've been running the KYBs for a couple or three years now. After removing the dog bones and installing steel bushings the mounting works well. Overall the best solution I've found for what should be...
So, how many miles/years on those insulators? 30 year old originals, or have they been previously replaced?
Just wondering because I replaced mine during a head gasket job a while back. 179K miles...
If you replace the system do yourself a favor - weld in 18mm bungs instead of the flanges. Opens up a far bigger selection of O2 sensors.
Gaskets are easy to make. O-rings are easy to find.
Your van is right hand drive, so it's not Canadian. What was its original destination country?
Probably unrelated to your symptoms, but here's an FYI: US spec SCs will not shift into 4th gear (or...
… or it might be 4 3 2 1 back to front.
1 2 3 4 front to rear.
Have you resolved this? Mine recently started clicking too.
Dave, I detect a fault developing in the high gain antenna. I predict complete failure.
Your finorkle pin return spring bracket pivot bushing collar locating dowel counterbore lube groove is corroded.
Thx. Quite helpful.

Caution Hijack! I'm thinking of doing the same. How complex/difficult was the swap? What's required?

KYB 343131, but you have to remove the "dog bone" from the upper eyelet. Not an easy task. You'll probably need to reuse the rubber bushings from your old shocks.
I don't recall having those options when I got my struts. I assume any of them will work.
I fabbed the strut mounting plates to simplify the next strut replacement. It is absolutely not necessary to...
Loosen/remove the radiator drain cock, the engine block drain fitting, and remove the thermostat. Catch all that nasty crap so you can take it to the recycler. After everything stops dripping button...
The nipple is part of the molded plastic upper tank, not a separate part. As noted in the previous post, I inserted a tee fitting into the small hose from the upper radiator tank to the pressure tank...
I recently replaced my radiator with a Chinese one from RockAuto. Fit perfectly, but was missing the small outlet nipple on the upper tank, driver's side, to feed coolant to the throttle body...
The bottom radiator tank contains a small transmission fluid cooler if equipped with an automatic transmission. The trans pumps fluid through it via a loop of small pipes and hoses. They must be...
No question it raises the center of gravity (makes it more "top heavy"). That said, the difference is imperceptible; I make no allowance for it while driving. To say it another way: Find something...
Read the entire thread from beginning to end. It's all in there.
The practical benefit for lifting a Previa (or any vehicle) is increased underbody clearance. Completely unnecessary if you drive only on pavement or well graded dirt roads, and not in deep snow. The...
The intercooler is located behind the bumper cover in front of the LF tire, only on supercharged models. You must be referring to the heater core or AC evaporator, under the dash. In either case, I...
My Previa guru says he removes the passenger side strut without removing the airbag, but I can't see how. Although I don't recall the specific 1-2-3; a-b-c sequence for removing the air bag, i'm...
No need to check ride height. These are the same struts I use for the lift, but are "loaded" with springs, mounts, etc.
Regarding Previa front spring availability, RockAuto lists complete Sienna strut assemblies (strut, spring, cushions, mount, etc.). The upper end of the spring is different from the Previa, but,...
Same color and stance as my Previa, but it's not. I avoid Seattle.
So, your machine shop was able to machine the steering knuckles without disassembling them? That saved you a couple or three hundred bucks in parts and labor for bearings and seals. I'd love to see...
We completed the '91 lift about a year and a half ago. Manual trans with breadbox transfer case. Yes. it's a bolt in for manual transmission Previas only. The owner installed 235/75 R15 tires and...
1- The rear really is that easy, except for the shocks. Just swap in the Mustang springs and adjust the p-valve. Forget the adjustable link rods. Extended bump stops are optional. I haven't found a...
Also, I'm still fussing with the rear shock setup. Yesterday I moved the bottom mount up to the lower hole I drilled in the axle plate. Results TBD.
On the '91 we're currently working on (I...
Thanks for the compliment.
The rear springs are '65 Mustang front springs. RockAuto part # Moog 8088
The struts are 2nd generation ('06-'11)? Sienna. RockAuto part # KYB 334430 & 334431

Yes, get the seals. You won't need to replace the snap ring. It comes out easily with the proper tool or a stout pair of needle-nose pliers. The hardest part is removing the outer bearing from the...
Photo of the latest attempt to get the shock right. You can see the original stud mount hole centered in the axle plate and the new hole I drilled below it.
Sorry for the delay. Who would have thought that the rear shocks and mounts are the most challenging part of the entire project? But they are.
The shock mount studs were something I already had in...
Roger all that. Nice set-up for adjusting rear ride height though. Again, probably for lowering rather than raising.
Also, not apparent that they provide any lift, although certainly would accommodate taller tires.
About a month later I snuggled up to this anonymous Previa for the before/after shot. Still sunny. Should have parked a lot closer though; the mirrors tell the story!
First day out.
I love this one. Lifted Previa on brand new rubber. 2 days before Christmas in the sunny Pacific Northwest.
2 1/2 inches clearance above the P215/70-R15 Blizzak.
Another view of the same strut. Note the sway bar link bolts up perfectly. Also note the eccentric camber adjuster. Don't bother.
I guess I never took any before/after photos of the machine work on the knuckles, but this one pretty clearly shows how much metal is removed. About 5mm on each side of the knuckle. That spot-welded...
The rear shock bottom mount stud. The hole is already there! Sorry, but the photo of the studs on the bench showing the other end won't upload. Neither will the photo with shock installed. But a...
Adjustable upper control rod in place. 5/8" billet ends and chromoly tubing from Jeg's or Summit. I don't think this step is necessary. Yes, I put a nut on the bolt after taking the photo.
In order to thread nuts onto those bolts sticking down through the spacer, I needed to drill out a couple of the holes in the upper spring cup so that I could get a 3/8 drive 14mm socket up through....
