Need the wiper arm mounting nuts and the black plastic nut covers
Seemed to have misplaced the front wiper arm mounting nuts and black plastic nut covers. If anyone has a set of these 4 pieces please let me know.
Thanks so much for checking. If you have them, you will be contributing to one of the coolest van's ever. Turning mine into show car.
I know this is an old thread but if you still have a windshield trim set available, I am in need of it.
Need the chrome trim that goes around the exterior front edges of the windshield. I think it is comprised of 8 pieces total.
I have a passenger side LE taillight but the trim piece at the top is matte black. The trim is removal, though, and might could be covered in a piece of chrome vinyl for the same effect.
The only thing I can think of is the driver seat seal/gasket affecting that side, and the service cover seal/gasket affecting the passenger side.
I'm thinking likely the motor is shot. If so, not much of a loss. I've never thought of that rear wiper as very useful. If you remove the motor, you could connect it directly to the battery to see...
Phychotron, thank you. Mine is not terrible bad so I'll likely stick with a product made for cooling system flushes. I'll file away the CLR idea for future use if needed. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks so much for your replies. I always search the forum first but sometimes don't think of the right keyword to locate what I need, and so I truly appreciate your sending me a direct link.

I also need to know what metal(s) the radiator is made of. This part is very important. Does anyone know if the factory radiators were aluminum, or perhaps a copper/brass combo?
Hello Everyone.
I need to flush the cooling system on my ’87 2WD (271k miles). I want to do the flush as thoroughly as possible but without risk. I located as much info on this site as I could...
Hi everyone. Don't forget Rock Auto. I've found quite a few things over the years for my van from that site.
In my case it is the the main rubber "gasket" rear door seal that keeps rain and air from entering the vehicle from the outside. I'm not certain what the official term is for it is, but I just call...
Hello, I am seeking a right tail light. Please let me know if still available and the cost.
jfenwick,
I have this same issue but only when I have one or both front windows down. I know for a fact there are gaps in the rear door weather seal due to body damage. I assume that when the...
Hello. I am in need of the center console (i.e. "ice maker") lid (mine has 2 cupholders molded into the top of the lid)
I am in need of the entire rear door, if we could make this happen. I'm in Atlanta, GA.
Symptoms seem just like the "heat soak" issue, and especially suspect if occurring mostly on hot days. Not certain of this but I think a more correct phrase for the heat soak issue is "vapor lock,"...
Sorry for slow secondary response but have been very busy lately. My best guess is that the catalytic converter is wearing out internally. This article mentions some basic steps you can take to try...
I attempted to listen but have to be granted access to it on Google Drive, so I requested it. Will give it a listen once I get the permission.
I took a listen but didn't hear anything unusual. This is one of those things that a recording wouldn't be as good as being there in person. Wish I could offer more.
Yes. RockAuto had them under the category of Electrical, AND will accept returns on this item. PartsGeek.com also sold the same exact one BUT accepts no returns on electrical/electronic parts, which...
TIMSRV,
You sir, R O C K!
Stalling Mystery solved! It was indeed, the ECU. Got my ECU from RockAuto today. It actually arrived with a bent terminal in the 10-pin connector.
But with my...
I need a complete rear hatch door for my 87 LE passenger van. Is that available?
I was right. I got the ECU out. Took photos of the process for the purpose of posting a How-To article if there isn't one on the TVT yet. Replacement part has been ordered from RockAuto. Spending...
Okay, so I attempted to locate an article on accessing the ECU on TVT but couldn't find one so I just dove in and removed the interior trim piece just to the left and behind the driver seat, only to...
Thank you TIMSRV for your response. Two questions:
1. Do you think it's worth it to perform the voltage and resistance tests of the ECU wiring connector as described on page FI-77 of the 1989 FSM...
Hello again, TIMSRV. Reporting back on the results. Disconnecting the TPS did not change the symptoms. Before I proceed with the next step of checking the wiring between the TPS and the ECU, I...
timsrv, Thank you so much. So grateful to everyone for the help. The TPS is brand new but I will perform the tests you advised and report back.
JPERL, did your van have the same symptoms as mine?
The FSM troubleshooting flow chart did mention checking for vacuum leaks around the air intake manifold, etc. BUT didn't explain how to go about it. Are they just referring to visually checking the...
Oh yes, I also replaced the TPS but it was definitely broken.
The only parts replaced thus far are the spark plug wires. The other components I simply tested. Thank you for the suggestion. Can you tell me where this relay is located and if it can be tested?
Excellent. Thanks again. I have requested to join each of those groups. I do still look forward to additional replies to my thread on this site, as the technical help here seems strongest.
I didn't know there was Toyota Van Facebook page but I will certainly check that out. Thank you for the tip on the fuel injectors. I will add that to my list of things to check. I am not currently...
Hello Everyone. Can’t tell you all how grateful I am to have a resource to reach out to for help with my van. Haven’t had any luck so far finding a local service center that is willing to work on...
