I had that sub on my one LE. It did add some body to the inherently anemic sounding front and rear speakers.
Cool design.

I have mostly stuck to the 185-75R14 size. It works, and I can still find them pretty easily. Just got a set 2 months ago. They had to be transferred in from another nearby tire shop, but that's not...
Discovered my horn wasn't working 2 weeks ago when I was wanting to let someone know they cut me off in a turn!
Well, I preemptively ordered that 84312-20011 brass pin ($11 shipped on ebay),...
I'm going to replace my front wheel bearings during my front brake job. Not sure if the bearings are shot, but it's better to have the parts and replace them vs having the van on a lift until the...
Got the front inner bearings. Toyota part # 90368-31067
It's a set of Nachi LM67048 and LM67010.
PSA:
Got the set of OEM front outer bearings. Toyota Part 90368-19037. They are repackaged Japanese NSK LM11949 & LM11910. You can find the NSK a lot easier and cheaper (about 1/3 the price) when...
1986 2WD Van cargo. 2.2L.
I'm going to redo my front brake pads/rotors and will be replacing the wheel bearings while at it. Pretty sure the outer & inner bearings are part number 90368-19037 and...
Subscribing for the info that will follow. My thermostat typically shows a temperature range much like your open/missing thermostat reading.
Huge PITA!
Those nozzles are the worst! When I had my van repainted, I told the painter 3 times to "not mess up the nozzles." I went as far as to put a ring of epoxy around the base of them so they...
I really despise people being anonymous cops like that. They just don't understand that we are dealing in semi precious and rare parts!
Anyone that has seen parts disappear at this rate would know...
Well, in the spirit of constant tinkering, I ended up cutting down the J hooks to 8" and used the adjacent hook holes in the pan. This way the J hooks aren't at a steeper angle, the hold down is...
Those are cool! No hub covers?
I had a set of 79/80 280ZX 5 spoke wheels on my 1st TV. Looked great.
These are on my radar. It's only a few hour's drive south.
Installed my bracket today!
I got 10" J hooks, but cut them down to 9" to fit perfectly on my 75/86 group battery on a 1" riser.
I'm probably going to paint the bracket when I paint the rusty hub covers I found a couple weeks ago.
Would you recommend rubberizing or using a rubber gasket on the bracket?
That's awesome, thank you for doing this! My Paypal or Venmo account is warmed up!
If I made one, it would be rather raw, as I don't have proper metal working tools. I would probably use a piece of...
I would happily commission a custom JDM bracket! :greenvan::greenvan::dance2::dance2:
My van does the exact same thing in regards to the starter not turning after a hot drive. I thought it may be hot soak, but perhaps the new starter I put in a couple years ago is not all that..?
The battery box is about 13" wide at the bottom, I'm guessing a 12" piece of iron drilled out and a pair of 10" J hooks cut to the needed length will work.
My 75/86DT battery fits really snug in the tray, but still has a lot of room on the short sides. It's the same width as a 25, but it snugs up better for depth and is not as tall as a 25, as I used...
I had a set of 1981 280ZX 6 spoke alloys on my 87 2WD Cargo. They worked great with the standard sized 195 75R14 tires. Think they were 6" wide with +12 offset and a 70ish mm center bore.
I'll try...
Very cool. I'm picking up a larger 75 battery today and will see what I can make work for a hold down. Didn't consider the angular approach, that's why I love this place!
I'd be all over these if I were local.
Is the battery hold down still available? Also curious if the small, square plastic "+" box (in the engine compartment next to the air filter) is available, too.
Anyone have a suggestion on a battery hold down?
Ordered one from Toyota Parts Deal only to cancel the order as they said the top bracket was not available.
I'll be poking around the shop looking...
