Thanks, Gwen!!
I bought these on Ebay a few years ago and can't remember if they fit stock van wheels or I got them for samurai wheels. I no longer have a 4WD van, so not sure. Anyone recognize them?

I ordered the BBB and it is still noisy (500 miles later) and I just found it to be leaking form the weep hole!
Does anyone have any insight? It's got a 3 year warranty but I'm thinking about just...
Check for vacuum leaks, specifically at the main intake hose.
I second the igniter, but check all your wires, cap, rotor too...even if you had spark at one cylinder.
Is it trying to turn over?
or do you just hear a click?
or do you hear nothing when turning the key?
If you go to Toyota Parts Deal and enter in an 87 or an 85 and use both of those part numbers, it shows only 90925-05017 as being valid for both 3y and 4y. It shows the other part number you are...
I tried to order OEM pads 04491-28060 from Toyota yesterday and they say NLA!!! This is for an 85. Bummer.
04491-28060

...but why was the fluid low? Brake fluid does not evaporate.
Check for signs of leakage on your master and slave cylinder first.
...or take that plastic guard off below to get a better look
or feel for it with your finger
or try to give one of those extendo mirrors a shot
Just throwing out ideas. Good luck!
Bump the starter so the engine rotates a bit. When it stops, can you see the mark on the pulley? If not, bump it again and see where it lands. Eventually, the pulley should stop a location that you...
If you do this, please discharge the chemicals properly. It's bad for you and the environment.
Woah, dude! Good thing you are getting at it. Wow.
JPERL might be correct. I'll try to snap a photo of the connector for you and upload it when I get home.
The other side of the connector is near the air filter box, toward the steering wheel on the engine side. It will be the only one that fits the 02 sensor, sporting a single conductor and a plastic...
Did you do this?
Replace your fuel filter.
Check for vacuum leaks.
Check for a spark at all four cylinders.
Check your timing, while someone is cranking.
Check your compression.
I'd check for vacuum leaks next.
Since I was doing soooo much work to the van and had it torn apart, I thought I would do the timing chain for piece of mind. I had no idea if it was the original chain or not (250,000 miles), and I...
Maybe someone else can chime in here, but I fail to see how you can check timing by just a probe on plug wire #1. Isn't an inductor on plug wire #1 just a reference point for when cylinder #1 is...
The manual states that the timing must be checked at 850 rpm (it may say 800, not 100% sure...I don't have my manual on me). When the idle is higher, it will advance the timing slightly. I just went...
It would run like crap, if it were off a tooth. If the timing light is showing 25 degrees off and the engine runs that smoothly, I would suspect that the harmonic balancer has spun. This would make...
This sounds like 2 problems, because the clutch switch to not allow the van to start is just a button that the pedal presses when the pedal is fully at the top.
See if your slave cylinder is...
The fact that it started, you shut it off quickly, and then it wouldn't start leads me to believe that the battery was low and the alternator didn't have time to charge it up enough to start it. You...
You should have more than 11.7 volts. 12.5 would be ideal.
I've had batteries that would charge to 11.9, but they failed the load test. Take it to a battery shop and have them load test it.
...
That should help. Thanks so much. Now I know which way to slide it off of those plastic fasteners, at least.
How does one go about removing the plastic panels to get to the ECU?:dizzy: I don't want to break these panels trying to pry them off.
Try to find a factory OEM repair manual. You will need that.
Too answer my own post:
This VSV on the passenger side is for the AC system. It allows more air to enter the system, which causes the idle to raise when the AC kicks on.
The part i'm missing...
I recently completed a bunch of work on my 85 van (3 yec). I labelled all of my connections before removing the intake and was very careful. Apparently not careful enough, because I have a missing...
Yeah. The last thing anyone wants is a gummed up fuel system. Fuel gauge won't work, fuel pump/lines clogged, fuel filter botched up, etc.. I put stabilizer in just for a 6 month storage period.
-Check for codes.
-Since you are replacing the radiator, you should do a coolant system flush, check your coolant hoses for cracking and replace the thermostat.
-Hopefully, you put fuel...
That's what I put on my 85 2WD. I like them very much. Maybe they are a bit stiff, but I have no complaints.
I was having power loss going up hills in my 85 2wd LE. It got progressively worse and then started sputtering and misfiring. When I pulled my spark plugs (that I changed 1 year ago), I found one...
I just got my fuel injectors back from Dr. Injector and I'm pretty excited with the results. One of the fuel injectors (injector for cylinder 2) failed the spray pattern test, failed the mL/second...
One of the Carolina's, I see. Are you going to drive the van to the west coast and Alberta?
Today I was able to get the fuel injectors out. It took about 6 hours total for me to gain access. The...
Teaching her right I see!! I'm in Tacoma too. Very Cool.
originalkwyjibo, Oh yeah. Ha ha. I definitely know about removing the passenger seat and that floor. There would be no other way to get back there I would think. I was talking about removing the...
At the very least, access to this motor is strange. Yesterday, I pulled off the driver side hatch completely. It gives you quite a bit more room. I'm definitely replacing most of the hoses, while I...
Looks like I'll be attacking the same problem. I'm confused with your post, though. It sounds like you are getting fuel to cylinder #3, so it wouldn't be the rust clogged injector screen. The...
So...After reading a bit about pulling spark plug wires while the engine is running, I chose to not go that route due to safety concerns. I did pull all the wires and cranked the engine for 10...
Thanks, you two. I do have a multimeter. I'll pull the wire and go from there. Looks like I'll have time on Saturday.
I was worried about the head gasket, but I would think that could show up in a compression test. But no, I'm not losing any coolant. :)
I'm not sure if it is a misfire. It could be an exhaust...
I forgot to add that the fuel pressure is within spec too. I'm a little lost on what to do. Thanks all.
Hi everyone. 1985 LE manual w/ 240,000
I changed my spark plugs, rotor, cap, & wires about a year ago. I've slowly been losing power and now my exhaust is popping and it smells much more exhausty...
Same here. KYB gas-A-just shocks on my 85' 2WD for about a year and they are great.
No one replied:roflmao:.
I changed my FPR and it seemed to solve the issue.
Hello fellow van owners. This is my first post.
My 1985 runs so great. I've owned it for 5 months. My concern is that when I crank the engine and it starts, it tries to immediately stall out. It...
