My van has been making weird noises since I have owned (4 months now). I am trying to identify the cause. Whether it be rod knock or hopefully just an exhaust leak or something non critical.

Video's leave a bit to be desired for diagnosing sounds (can't zero in on location), but sounds like a noisy lifter and probably a cracked exhaust manifold?
Try a kerosene flush and 20w50 oil and see of that helps.

Before putting anything like kerosene in your engine, please do your own research and do so at your own risks. Flushes may or may not do any good, but may potentially cause harm. Tim
Yeah, that seemed a little drastic. I'm going to try some seafoam and try and pull the manifold to repair if need be.
I could see doing it for a short time frame if the engine was relitively clean inside (but never on a sludged-up engine). Still not sure how much good it would do, but admittedly I've got very little experience with these type remedies. As a mechanic I'm more inclined to take things apart and replace the ailing part(s). Seafoamed the van today after tackling the god awful wiring left from the previous owner. Engine rattle subsided a lot, mostly exhaust leak now. Going to try and replace the gasket and check for manifold cracks in the near future.
