Having brought a Van back from Arizona to Michigan, I have learned the trade-offs. While the Michigan vehicles from the 1980's of course have horrid Rust issues (I have a 1984 Fiero---Michigan Whole Life) the "Desert State" vehicles have horribly degraded plastic components. The high heat makes The electrical connectors and other plastic parts extremely brittle. My coolant recovery cap was so brittle, it cracked in 3 pieces when I removed. Well, as always with weird-old vehicles, nothing at my local auto zone/advance auto (the auto zone guy even told me to check Rock Auto).

Rock Auto+1987 Toyota Van=Nothing, not available. However, with a little more research, I found a Dorman Part # 54252 on-line. It is available for $15-$25 various places on the internet.

But, I left the parts catalog on Rock Auto and entered it in the Universal Part/Search By Part Number, and Volia!!!! Available Dirt Cheap.

A good find if you need one.
