4x4 Rear Center Caps- Is this what is used?

Are these the ones that are used? They are the center caps for the 2wd trucks if so...

Those look a little different from the angle the picture has been taken. Here's some close up of some spares I have and pictures of them installed and even one with the part number!!!!

Sorry my 4WD rims are so crusty... That's a whole other project that's needs to be addressed

    check it out-

Thanks for posting those picks, Mr. VanMan. You are right, they are different. I've never seen any up close so when I started looking for some the 2wd trucks were the closest in appearance from afar.

Any idea how hard these are to come by for purchasing? I'd love a set for my rig...

It would be kinda like putting lipstick on a pig as it needs some paint and some body work, but, hey, my pig can fly (kinda).

Finding some will be pretty tough, the ones I have are my spares I got lucky and snatched them up when I saw them.

Sorry man these aren't for sale.

Hey, so I was able to locate a complete set!
It's on a van that has been sitting around at a junk yard, but the guy that pulls the parts isn't sure if they just pop right off or not... are you (or Tim, haha) able to advise the best way to get the center caps off?
    thanks in advance

Gently pry the cap up between the lugnuts working your way around until it comes off.

Thanks, original, and I assume a screwdriver is an acceptable prying tool to use or no?

The tire iron is best but a large tip screwdriver is fine too. Try to pry back against the wheel to lever the center cap off. I've had the metal insert that actually retains the cap get bent by trying to pry it off all at once which is why I prefer to work my way around it. Have the parts puller check the tool kit if its still there and also way down in the bottom of the quarter panel where the jack and tool kit are stored to see if they can find the installation tool for the front caps. It's black and looks similar to a lid for a cottage cheese container. There's an EPC image at the bottom of this post: http://www.toyotavantech.com/forum/s...ght=Tire+tools

Yes the hubs are OEM 14" 4WD rims, no fake hubs and the bolts are just old not plastic. I suppose I should get some new bolts now that I see how worn out they are.

    The center caps are plastic.

Will these center caps fit stock wheels?

I bought these on Ebay a few years ago and can't remember if they fit stock van wheels or I got them for samurai wheels. I no longer have a 4WD van, so not sure. Anyone recognize them?

Actually, I think those are for the trucks and 4runners. Note the 6 points as opposed to the 5 that vans have. May still fit, but since vans have 14in rims while the trucks and 4runners had 15in they may not.

Since you no longer have a 4x4 van, would you be interested in parting with them? I ran over a bicyclist a little over a year ago and he took one of my rear caps with him on the way down.

I should probably note the cyclist ran a red light and technically hit me, I don't want anyone thinking I'm just mowing down bike riders over here.

I think I've seen these on later cr30 townaces and liteaces.

Re: 4x4 Rear Center Caps- Is this what is used?

Does anyone have a bead on where to get these currently, or have one/a set they want to sell me? I just hit a deer, and obliterated the right rear cap on my '87 4wd.

All things considered, could have been much worse - I was going 50-60 on a pitch-dark stretch of Highway 46, and I guess the deer jumped out just in time to get clipped by the rear wheel as I went by. Van appears to be completely unscathed except for the cap. The same likely cannot be said for the deer:IMG_9898.jpg
