Hi all! as I understand it the petrol and diesel vans have a thermo wax coupling both. on my van it tweaks the idle or fuelling on cold starting.
It however is leaking from around its base. even after changing the o-ring, flatting it and thread taping the cap heads that hold it on.
I am thinking of simply removing it and making a blanking plate. does anyone have any experience of doing this? any ideas if it will make the pump stop working?
I Have the schematics but can't discern what it does apart from slightly turning something inside the fuel pump.
I have a manual throttle lever so can keep the rpm upon warm up manually but it doesn't really need it as it runs fun at 850rpm even when cold.
any ideas and knowledge greatly appreciated!
