Hello Van Community,
Pretty new to the van forum.
I've been slowly working on the van and plan on driving it to Brazil starting next summer. I came across this wire being cut. I noticed this after the van over heated.
Would anyone know where and what this wire belongs to.
Thanks in advance

I searched to no avail...
I am ripping into the little van finally, and removed all the plywood from the cargo floor to find these. Three black plates bolted to the floor. They look factory~ish, not sure what to make of them though... What the heck are they for? Are they important or just a waste of steel?
1987 Cargo Van 4x4, if it makes a difference.
Ballast I believe. found the same when I was monstalining the interior of my 87 cargo 4wd van
1987 4wd 5spd Cargo van (uncut)-modding in 3,2,1
Actually this has been asked at twice before: HERE and HERE
I realize when you don't know what something is called, you can't search for it by name. That's why we have the stickied "WHAT-IS-THIS-PART" threads.

Part number for 89 driver side window lift motor? I ordered through advance Auto site and it's not even close.

I have been scouring the electrical system today and have verified all of my plugs, save this one... At the air box portion of harness. two prong plug, one white wire with black stripe and a green wire. I have hunted for the other side of it, but see nothing to connect to. I also have a dangler underneath coming off the Alternator harness and believe it goes to a sensor for oil level (sucker is hard to get at! Would explain my red oil light remaining on. According to the FSM the red dummy light on the oil reads pressure AND level via this plug. Mine is an 87 cargo van , so that trim package/ gauge cluster has no option for the amber "oil level" light. Found the level switch and access is rough! Ha. Everything else electrically is accounted for though!

The search terms you want are "Fuel Pump Check Connector" and "Circuit Opening Relay" to narrow it down, just put all those words into the search box. Here's a good post to get you started:

Edit: This is the Old cigarette lighter plug, traced the wiring diagram out in the FSM~ I recently took apart my dash and have ONE unaccouted for plug. I am guessing that it may have been for the factory lighter in the radio/ air mixer bezel??? It has a green (power), gray (ignition), and I think a couple of ground wires in it... The previous owner added an aftermarket cig lighter and connected it to the radio wires.
Is my assumption right? I looked and couldn't find it...

My mechanic says I need to replace the L Inner Tie Rod End.
88' 4WD
Having trouble locating that part # - anyone got it handy?
Thanks.
Amazon and Rock Auto is your best friend with these little vans:
https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-45A11...ywords=tie+rod
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...e+rod+end,7428
Took me all of 3 minutes to find these dude. Just sayin'...
ah yes - I was searching for Tie Rod which is listed at Rock, but the correct part 45A1133 did not have the words "tie rod" next to it for some reason.
Once I crossed reference using your Amazon link (3 month backorder) with correct description then I could find it in Rock.
Thank you!
Hoping someone can help me identify what this part in the red circle is? Thank you!
