    How to check engine codes

I've just found this site and learned a lot of great things about my new van. My only issue is that the engine light is on and after looking around in this forum for a good 3 hours I still can't seem to find any threads actually outlining how to check the engine codes.

I know that I'm going to have to jump some leads and count the engine light flashing, I just don't know what leads and where.

    Thanks a bunch!

Re: How to check engine codes

Welcome to the forum, thank you for taking the time to search for the issue your experiencing. Sometimes it’s a matter of typing in the proper terminology in the advanced search feature to come up with what your looking for. I’m still learning too!!

I typed in “engine service connector” and 5 threads came up. I’m thinking this is the one that’ll get you started in the right direction—

Have a look at the other ones as well and they may provide some extra info.

    Good luck

    JDM
