    Service Port Wiring Help

OK - So i had an aftermarket tach hooked up to the service port, and while doing some maintenance this weekend it completely broke off from the connection to the distributor (I barely touched it, but the wire was completely rigid wire from heat). I'm hoping to still have the tach hooked up, but am not quite able to piece together where that wire went in and where to splice into... and I'd rather not make things worse by splicing into something wrong!

I've located these two diagrams to hopefully make things more clear. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

EDIT - Or do I just attach it to the negative terminal of the coil?

    Re: Service Port Wiring Help

Follow up to the first post - I hooked it up to the negative terminal of the coil and am back in business.
