Any idea on how to replace rear window latch?

My Previa is missing its rear driver window latch, I currently have it duct taped down. Unfortunately previas are pretty hard to find here in rural eastern washington. any ideas? I tried to find the right bolt/screw but it wouldn't work.

any ideas guys?

I was at the yard and saw a 93’ Previa LE, it didn’t have a latch on the passenger side to pop open the rear window just a screw and small bracket holding it but the driver side window had the same latch as your picture.

Were you able to go to Vancouver and check out that van?

I misinformed in the post, on the passenger side, there’s only one latch and that’s on the sliding door window. There isn’t an openable window on the rear passenger side because it interferes with the sliding doors. My Rear driver side is missing a latch. I’m pretty sure I have the latch, I’m just missing the round outer cap and the screw to hold it in place. I tried finding a screw in the hardware store but could not find a match.

Oh that makes sense why the passenger window wouldn’t pop open, awe man it had the complete driver side window latch.

Yeah 7 hour drive is a bit much for the latch, it was a 90 minute drive for me but I was pulling from a 87’ Toyota’s van and the Previa was a few rows away.

I'll be coming home to the west side for a month, i'll be sure to do some digging. I have never been to a junkyard looking for parts before.

Have you called Toyota? They still have some of the window attachment parts.

Have you made the trip trip this way? There’s a couple Previa’s in the Lynnwood PnP which may have what your looking for, I haven’t gone there for a while cause there’s no Van Wagons in the yard.

Yes have some basic tools- Metric sockets, screw drivers, blade... nothing fancy for this small job and eventually you’ll build up what you need.

For this job you’ll need-

— 1 long and 1 short panel trim remover
— 1 Phillips screw driver

2 pillar panels can be removed and that’ll expose the 2 or 3 screws holding the bracket. This will be good practice for you to remove the panels without breaking them in your own van!!

Let me know when you plan on going I might make it over there if it works out.

I ended up finding one and removing it from a junker with the tori bit and a plier clamp! took a tad longer than expected but now off the duct tape goes on my previa Thx!
