Why is my Check Engine Light not coming on?
Hey guys, my van is cranking but doesn't turn over.
When I jump the 'fuel pump test connector' I get no noise from the fuel pump and no click from the 'circuit open relay'.
One thing that seems to be a clue but I don't know what it means, the 'check engine light' is no longer illuminated when the ignition is turned to 'on'. In the past that light was always illuminated when the ignition was in the 'on' position before starting the engine.
The EFI fuse at the main fuse box seems to be intact

Did you find a replacement ECU?

Re: Diagnosing fuel problem
I ordered a used one pulled from a junkyard van. It will arrive on wednesday and I'm going to go from there.

Re: Diagnosing fuel problem
Not 100% sure but other Toyotas of that generation have a fusible link to the battery and an EFI relay that allow the truck to start AND lights the CEL. No CEL= no power to EFI relay or dead EFI relay.
Again, not 100% su this applies to the vans but it is standard toyota set up 88-3/95.

Yup! My IGN fuse is blowing immediately when I turn the key to the on position
