thinking of an automatic to standard swap..

I have 2 1986 LE's ...apart from one being automatic and the other being standard, they are practically twins in color and appearance....right down to the old Supra mags.
I recently found an 86 5 speed panel van getting parted out and can get my hands on the complete 5 speed set up ( tranny, shifter, cables, pedals, bellhousing .....you name it ).
Question is..... is the conversion to 5 speed worth it ? I don't drive like I did as a kid, and don't beat my vehicles on the highway ( I do push 'em but 'nicely' ).
The automatic does have a small custom trailer hitch and I was thinking of pulling a small utility trailer occasionally...
Curious to hear opinions on pros and cons of this conversion...whether it is worth the time for any other reason than preference - I am sure you get the jist.
Are there any parts I need to make sure I scoop if/when I grab the new driveline ?

    Any input appreciated....

    Cheers !

Did you ever get around to doing this project? Interested in hearing how it went, if so.
