Installing new stereo and speakers

I’ve tried the search function but can’t seem to find much info on this subject. I have an 87 4WD, there’s no current stereo in the dash, just the blank space inserts. Rear speakers look absolutely shot and no idea on condition of front speakers or if there’s an amp or sub. I’m curious if anyone has a write up on installing a new stereo system and speakers. I’ve never done any stereo work before. I have however, replaced the brake master cylinder, so I am familiar with the job of removing the dash. Any info is appreciated!

I searched "stereo and speakers" "stereo install" and came up with 12 threads. Sometimes finding the correct combination of search words takes a few try's... trust me it took me some time to learn the terminology too!!! Try those words for starters and see what comes up and then post additional questions in the thread that most closest to what your inquiring about, that'll notify the members in the thread and possibly get quicker results.
