    FL 1.25b fusible link modification

    Mine is badly corroded and the box is junk,, letting water in... so if it's an 80A fusible link? Why not?
    I wonder if the box and link can be cut out and replaced with an 80A switchable circuit breaker? The 2 wires could be lengthened about 6" and the whole thing mounted in the battery box.
    I dont want to fry the van so I'm wondering if anyone with electrical experience can see an issue? The lugs have safety caps to prevent arcing.
