    OEM middle and rear seats

OEM middle and rear seats for Vanwagons. Free to good (usin') van owner(s). All would benefit from some level of clean-up, but are in useable condition as-is. Mix and match; take one or a pair.

    • Wine/burgundy ''84 or 85 DLX (middle and rear) — THIS SET NO LONGER AVAILABLE as of 2010/11-ish
    • Wine/burgundy '84 or '85 LE (middle and rear) — THIS SET NO LONGER AVAILABLE as of 02.2019

    • Brown/tan '86 DLX (middle and rear)

    FITS:
all 1984 and 1985 vans, regardless of trim level
    all 1986-1989 DLX vans
all 1986-1989 LE vans set up for middle bench seats

    DOES NOT fit:
1986-1989 cargo vans (middle seats WILL fit with addition of OEM seat mounts, but rear WILL NOT fit)
1986-1989 LE vans with captain's chairs (middle seats WILL NOT fit but rear seats WILL fit)

If unsure of your Van's trim level and original seat configuration, you can send me the first seven digits of your van's VIN (the whole VIN is not necessary!) and pictures of your van's seat attachment points, and then I can tell you whether they'll work or not.

Local pickup or, if you can be patient, can arrange delivery or meet-up if I'm already heading your direction and have the room and time (most often that would be the PDX area and sometimes as far north as Bellingham; I go south on I-5 and to points east on occasion as well).

Please PM if you're interested. No, I won't ship them, sorry.

    Hey Tim!

Only if I was closer.... I'm missing my rear seat in burgundy for an 84 LE. My grandparents do live in Grants Pass, OR, So if I ever get up there I'd sure love to see your collection!

    Thanks for a great site!

Thanks for the kudos, but these are Gwen's seats not mine . It's pretty easy to remove the llama hair, but the llama spit gets worked into the fabric and is hard to remove .

Made it out to the parts vans today — I do still have one of the wine/burgundy middle seats. PM me if you are interested (you'll have to drive down and pick 'em up).

Bump! All listed seats still available. I'm not planning any road trips for awhile (except perhaps north in mid-November), so local pickup only.

    Around? LOL.

The brown/tan set is still here, but I haven't had a chance to verify that their condition is still good.

Oh ok. Let me know, I was going to look at this van on Sunday but right now my decision is hinging on the seats.
    Thanks,

    Hi Gwen,

I am not asking directly about the seats, but rather about fitting seats into a van. I have a 1989 cargo van.
First 7 of VIN are JT4YR28V

I bought some years a nice set of pristine rear seats from another van, folding bench into bed. I was surprised to find no mounting points in the cargo bed after I removed the carpeted plywood pad. The van had been customized as a very simple camper. Essentially open back with the bed pad and lined walls, sliding, screened windows.

Did I miss mounting sites? Is there a combination of seats that will directly install?

Also, any interest in those seats? They are still very nice. Stored indoors, dark brown cloth.

Re: OEM middle and rear seats

I doubt the 2nd gen (86-89) vans had either mounting hardware or even mounting points for hardware — the rear floor pan for the 2WD cargo model was entirely different from the passenger vans.

Conversion companies used plain-Jane cargo vans as their base then custom made seats fin their passenger conversion models. Each company did things differently, so even if you found a conversion van with usable seats in a wrecking yard (or on craigslist), you'd need to make some modifications to get them to fit in your formerly-a-camper-conversion van.

You'll want to start your own thread in this section to sell the seats you have.

Sent you a PM a few days ago about the seats. Are you in the NW States?
