Yes, they are still well-preserved. I'd planned on re-listing this spring. Please send me a PM for contact information.

Re: Pair of Rear Bench Seats for 84-89 Van

I am just adding to the thread to let people know that these seats are still available. I'd like to clear out the space, so if anyone needs a pair of bench seats in excellent shape, they're here.

Hi, Yes, still available. Stored indoors. I cannot seem to get the picture upload to work. I was only able to attach a single picture.
I can easily attach the other pictures to a regular...

Re: OEM middle and rear seats

    Hi Gwen,

I am not asking directly about the seats, but rather about fitting seats into a van. I have a 1989 cargo van.
First 7 of VIN are JT4YR28V

I bought some years a nice set of pristine...

Re: 1984 auto 2wd paret out near seattle

That makes sense. When new, the van was modified by a conversion company. I am 2nd owner and I was startled by the cornering lights
when I first started driving it. They work just fine!

    Hi,

Are the sun visors (especially driver's side) in good shape and available? I am in Seattle and can pick up.

  12. Re: Dumb questions about adjusting timing

    Hi all,

Thanks for all of the replies to my questions. I had time yesterday to take another look.

Key help was to remove the plastic shroud over the fan. Two bolts at the top on either side....
  13. Re: Dumb questions about adjusting timing

Thanks, I couldn't fit my socket between the pulley and radiator. I wonder if the gap was larger in an older van? Like you, my plan
is to put a paint mark on the pulley. I'll try again this weekend...

    Thanks.
  15. Re: Dumb questions about adjusting timing

    Thanks.

I tried bumping the starter a handful of times and didn't get lucky. I guessed (wrongly I suppose) that it tends to land
in preferential spots. Sounds like doing that more patiently might...
  16. Re: Dumb questions about adjusting timing

There is no problem with pulling the right side engine cover (other than perpetually wondering why it wasn't set up like
the left side since most tune up steps require access to that side of the...
  17. Dumb questions about adjusting timing

    Hi,

My 89 cargo van, 48k miles, began pinging. I borrowed a timing light to make the adjustment. Took a long time to clean the grime away to see the marks on the side of the engine. But, I could...

    Engine bay insulation?

I searched the forum and didn't see anyone mention this. The engine heat tends to
get the front seats pretty warm. Hardly notice it in the winter, bit once it gets hot out I do.
    I was thinking of...

    Re: Backup lights not working.

Exact same issue. Some contact cleaner, a wire brush and compressed airto blast away the crud.
The backup light holder was different from the other two in that it was open in the back. I think
    that...
  22. Re: Key stuck in ignition

Checking around, ignition locks are only available via web. I didn't want to wait a week and hoped
for a cheaper fix than the $150 I was seeing for a reasonable lock. (I assumed that the $30 ones I...
  23. Re: Key stuck in ignition

    I have the same problem:
    1989
    Manual Transmission
    Key stuck in ignition.
Starts and runs excellently, but I cannot extract the key.
  24. Re: Air conditioning belt keeps loosening or stretching

    Thank you for the information.

Do any of those belt conditioner sprays help, or are they just gimmicks?
I'll re-tension over the weekend. I had noticed that sometimes the tension
    lasts longer...
  25. Air conditioning belt keeps loosening or stretching

    Hi,

Hopefully easy question. The air conditioning belt keeps either stretching or loosening
(or something) so that I get loud squeals when I turn on the AC. Other than that, all works
    great --...

Pair of Rear Bench Seats for 84-89 Van

    Hi,

I have a pair of rear bench seats for the Toyota passenger Van. My van is a cargo van and I hoped
to install these seats. These are the ones that fold flat to form a bed. But, the cargo van...
  28. Re: Frequent starting problem after sitting for a few days

Thanks for the reply. I had a chance to ask a mechanic friend of mine. He said it sounded like a regular flooding and suggested it was likely that an injector was leaking fuel into the...
  29. Frequent starting problem after sitting for a few days

Hi, I have a 1989 2WD cargo van. It runs great. But, it has developed a consistent starting problem. If it sits on the driveway for 2 to 3 days, it does not start. Cranks fine and will always start...
