@Scotty, whoops just saw your question, sorry. No bar is bolted in w/mounts.
Yeah, sorry I missed the first attempt, sent you a PM.
Yeah, I was surprised the front was so cheap given how much work they did on the front. Pretty impressive how the front under body design came out. He made it to withstand dropping the weight of the...
I want to say that all the front work was about $400, and the rear bumper w/swing out was $1k.
Funny thing is I am driving up to meet the owner to have him look at modifying the bull bar on my 93'...
I have a brand new set of UCA for a 4wd van made by febest. Bought them for my van for it’s future but am going to be putting the van up for sale shortly so willing to sell. PM for details. Thanks...
Had one of these for a while now, spent more time priming and laying down three coats of ‘hammered black’ paint then it probably to took to make, package and send to me but every time I use it I...
I can’t be the only one experiencing this with my van. Issue started out of the blue. When I start my van after it has sat for a day it fire up and after 3-5 seconds starts running really rough and...
There goes the neighborhood. :LOL2:
Great post @Flecker. thanks:clap:
Realized, I never updated this post. I pulled an evap canister from a van at PnP and removed all the hard & soft lines from fuel filler to tank and then from tank to canister. Pressure tested hard...
Are cold start injectors still available? thx Josh
w/o the engine circulating coolant, what would this achieve? unless you were referring to the interior cabin fan?
Edit: oh never mind, guess i should read more than one post in a thread.
Howdy, need to clear out some spare parts I have a 4wd cluster from an AT van that I installed in my 4wd cargo van so I would have a tach. Finally got around to installing a cluster from a 4wd 5spd ...
This thread seemed to come up the most when searching google so figured i’d post here.
Anyone ever replace their own clips and install trim on the windshield? My windshield doesn’t need to be...
Nice job. Any pics of the front door trimming and hammer massaging to the front? Still have my 15” Suzuki wheels waiting for the final color coats and need to order new tires.
thanks
While I haven't done this on my van, I have on a 98 Mitsu Montero. Actually sounds like there are a lot things to remove on a Montero, this is a pretty easy job and not 8hrs. Just take your time and...
Hard start issue after letting van sit more than a day w/o starting. Had a bad starter that would only turn over about every 5 th time, so fuel pump was being primed every time I turned the key. Once...
I was just looking at the posting on Row52, and thought it looked familiar. Figure a year discrepancy (88 to 89) is pretty common at salvage yards. Hope it isn't the same one?
Any chance of pictures showing how the slider to overhead side door was achieved ?
How about some pictures of the door mechanism on the converted slider?
thanks
What brand are you running? I think when we get to this size where clearance is so tight, different brands are going to rub more than others.
He 'shapeshifter' should be able to comment once he gets his van back from fabricator, but sounded pretty substantial, IMO. What I mean is it sounded like enough cutting, patching, etc that most...
He has them, but has fairly substantial rubbing and is having some work done on cutting the body and capping the ends.
So no issues clearing slider with 215s, cool. Do you have any issues rubbing or did you trim the underside of van?
Thanks again for the quick response.
Anyone know of a good 215/75-15 all terrain tire that will fit on the suzuki sidekick wheels and will clear the slider?
In the middle of painting my 15's and planning on using my grabber2 ...
Glad to hear you got your van back. Maybe Santa took it for some early deliveries while sled was in the shop?:dance1:
Ballast I believe. found the same when I was monstalining the interior of my 87 cargo 4wd van
Interested in seeing the schematic, wondering if my fuse on the right side lights blew due to using the stock wiring for the headlights when I went to LEDs. Replaced the fuse but haven't been...
I used a few applications of PB blaster, then used a pair of needle nose vice grips on the head and carefully unscrewed them. It was a pain but oddly relaxing.
Yes, but in a round about way. I found that mid 80's Fords had a very similar trim ring that would fit the 4x6" LED lights, but the tabs and screw holes were in the wrong place. I cut off the tabs...
Oh lordy , can't believe I did that. Going to blame that question on my 22 month old son and not sleeping enough.
Thanks, nothing to see here move along.
Ok, so just noticed headlights are out on passenger side, both low & high beam. Both driver side lights function low and bright. I replaced the lights in June when I was going through the van....
So when I ran the 2 gauge wire to the starter and to alternator, I also replaced all the ground wires at the same time with 2 gauge. At a loss?
As an update re-hecked the trigger wire from ignition switch and have a 2g wire going directly to the starter from the batt.
I find that if I put it in gear and let off the ebrake so it moves...
Ok, after calls to half a dozen smog places and getting turned down, with excuses from pre 90’ cars are too tough to get an accurate rpm reading, to people knowing these vans or rather how to access...
Lower one is from a 2wd AT equipped van, LE likely. IMO
If you take a pic of the fronts it should be pretty easy to tell AT/5spd 4wd vs 2wd etc-Josh
:dance2:yeah, I've read about the odyssey to get to the windshield sprayers. Reminds me of the times I was at junk yards and either saw 'hood won't open' sprayed on the front of the van or the front...
Here is the diagram I PM'd you about. 7439
Full disclosure I didn’t hook up the oil pressure gauge other than to the idiot light since I have aftermarket oil pres, water temp and volt digital gauges.
My oem oil temp gauge goes through random...
Is it a 4wd cluster, or having the 4wd light? Not sure I think I paid 35-40 from the PnP pin Stockton, CA for mine. I’ll have to look for the diagram tomorrow, sucked into yard work.
Actually it isn't bad at all. Once you get the hang of releasing the clips that hold the individual wires in the harness plugs. I have a cross over diagram a made showing what wires move from which...
Seems reasonable enough, but I would have thought it is something with the starter given that I can get it to start by tapping on it w/a hammer?
Is there a tutorial on removing the ignition lock?...
Ok, so add me to the list. Have the click, when turning the key. Checked the battery, yep 12.5vlts on the multi meter. Assume I need new starter contacts, order the kit (came w/a plunger as well, so...
You shouldn't have any problem with the speedo. As far as hooking up the overdrive light to 4wd, that is a good id.
That was the closest bulb I could find to the original. Look good, but yellow against the LED headlights and under the bumper LEDs. Eventually I'll try and find an LED replacement that will fit so...
Thanks, for the update. Just put my van on the lift over the weekend while trying to finish work on Montero for a trip in 9 days. Bout of stomach flu stopped progress on both vehicles. Hopefully...
