I always wondered if that aluminum insulation stuff conducts electricity - guess not, if you had it on the battery lid ;)

I have my whole van covered in that stuff, but avoided the battery box since it didn't seem like a good idea, so I just deal with cold/hot air leaks

The AL2 insulation is on the top, cabin side of the cover not the battery side.
