desperate means needs desperate measures...hardly anyone wants to work on these vans, and if you're going to fix it right, you're going to have to force yourself to learn how to read wiring diagrams,...
then become "literate"... the shop manual teaches you how to read wiring diagrams.... if that's not enough, there's always different resources out there that can teach you... it's not that hard, you...
props to you for figuring out how to unhook all of those cables to take the whole control panel out... there's not a lot of room there, and I didn't bother trying because putting it back in would...
the previa was made till end of 99, the 98-99 LHD versions sold in Europe, Middle East, and other countries still use the same wiper arms and blades, so they're not just 94-97 wiper blades, they're...
If all of you 90-93 owners don't mind the work, you can consider upgrading to the 94-99 wiper arms/blades... simplified setup, and much better J hook style blade attachment... this gives you options...
People in Japan get Toyota Alphard and Noah wiper blade/arms to fit onto theirs... I haven't cared enough to look up if there's any USDM cars that uses those parts though, but it seems to be a...
Airplex in New Zealand makes them... I have one on my van since new.... they don't have any North American dealers any more, so you'll need to find an aussie or kiwi to help you
...
It's almost 5 years since I last posted about this. I ended up never finding the time to go back to the junk yard to find the updated style alternator tensioner bolt from a wrecked...
Don't even bother unless you're going to sell the van to the next poor soul...
the "miracle fix in a bottle" usually makes things worse by clogging up the heater core or radiator... if that stuff...
you DON'T disassemble the SADS or remove the "bearing"... it's supposed to come as one piece
if the place you bought it from took it apart that way, then this thing is as good as a dud because it's...
depends on year and if it came from an Emina/Lucida too
Toyota changed the oil pan design in 1994 too (the one where the dipstick is)
www.car-part.com
There's no differences between the intake and exhaust manifolds between the countries... fuel injectors should also be the same
the stuff that looks different is probably from a later year (after...
I think you can be lazy and get away with not removing the floorboard if you know for sure that it's the number 1 to 3 plug... it's only the 4th one that requires floorboard removal
82620-95D01 is for ABS non-S/C
82620-95D00 is for non-ABS, non-S/C
I think "fusible link" it's just a generic internal name assignment based on part code 82620
At least the number printed on the...
Couldn't find = invalid
You can search through all sorts of places, included toyodiy... that's part of the internet, you know ;)
He's trying to buy the part NEW... when that number is no good, it...
I read what you already said, and the misinformation wasn't worth the time going into explanation why you were wrong until now, since you insisted you're right.. That number printed on the cover is...
Correct part number is 82627-28010 (w/o ABS), or 82627-28020 (w/ABS)
for 97 models (June 96 onwards builds), it's 82627-28011 (w/o ABS), or 82627-28021 (w/ABS)
Why you looked it up wrong/by...
the inventory is reliable, but what you said is the first I've heard of it... pick n pull's website uses row52 also for their inventory search
if I had to buy something from a place I didn't want...
make sure your lug nuts are tightened evenly with a torque wrench... if they were blasted on with an impact gun or you just did them "good and tight", this will cause this issue
Mine has ABS and it does have the LSPB
The parts catalog shows it was removed from August 96 (1997 MY) production though, which seams to indicate Toyota added EBD into its ABS system for 97 onwards
make sure the blower switch is good too... the terminals tend to melt due to poor design
steering column trim covers... the plastic was crispy to begin with and then uncaring idiots at junk yards destroy good ones while going for their precious parts
those studs aren't stainless, if it did, there wouldn't be any rust
but even if they were stainless, you should've used antiseize anyway to prevent galling, which will cause damaged threads or...
the "nuts" are part of the hanger bracket... you don't ever touch those, only take the bolts off those
as for the studs that broke, you can just replace them.... that's what I did when I replaced my...
it would be far easier to just use a harness adapter cable rather than hacking off the factory connectors, and you can easily revert back to stock when needed
cheap crap gas and carbon build up in the engine
you really should be using "super" as recommended by Toyota... even they said that for the N/A version for full performance, despite the fact that...
why not just replace the knock sensor if it's bad?
the light blinks because the fan switch is bad
but freeze 12 is garbage and you should've never put that crap in the van to begin with.... mixing refrigerants is also illegal... no shop will dare...
have you tested the coolant sensor?
probably works better in the mild northern climates than the southern hellacious US lol
looks like the capacitor popped and took everything else out with it
there's quite a few differences in those vans that have the cool box... there's additional A/C lines and there's a hole cut out in the floorboard for one of the A/C lines to pass into the cool box......
These era of Toyotas are notorious for crappy blower motor switches... happened to our Corolla too, the resistor was perfectly fine (did you check yours yet?)...
bad idea using loctite on the stud... it will never come out now, if you ever have problems with it
just getting the stud nice and tight is good enough!
they look like M8x1.25 threads
I would not buy hardware at the parts store if I can avoid it... they're expensive, not the right lengths/sizes and not as good quality
You will need a stud...
I only answer questions when I am positive :)
I have the Previa model change book here and the parts catalog... every inch of it is different, but you can swap it over, only its entirety...
I...
the entire exhaust system is different, it will fit as long as you swapped everything
I always buy a dozen at a time
I hate running to the store just to do something routine
I prefer the Denso made Toyota V8 filter myself
the one for the solid axle and independent suspension are different.... get the correct type
15147-76020
90430-36005
probably vacuum leak
no amount of bulb or wiring upgrades on those crappy 9004 headlights will ever make significant improvement to be worth the cost
9004 headlights are the 1st generation of "aero" or bulb replaceable...
they can go any time if the previous owner neglected to maintain the van and let the coolant go bad, rusting it out and causing all sorts of cooling issues
if you want to flush it good, you need to use a flushing agent... straight water doesn't work good enough to get rid of stuck on mess... there's a big difference, I know
I hope you used flush agent when flushing the engine
that stop leak crap is so good, it'll stop up the radiator too! lol
wrong belts can also cause you to adjust the tensioner bolts to the max and it still won't be tight enough
probably loose belts or bad accessory mounts
could be cold start injector problems...
