    Front differential

I have an 88 4x4 5 Speed and the left inner Front hub is shot.
    So I am told....
It is leaking basically all the fluid out at at stand still.

Anyone have a front differential ? ....I do not need the ring gear

Do I understand correctly the same one is used in a 2000 + Rav 4 rear Axle
and is a direct fit for the 4X4 front?

    Re: Front differential

Not sure I understand the failure?
Was the diff noisy prior to the leak, were the bearings toast?
Is there a hole in the case?

Seals can always be replaced as can bearings, though a bigger job to be sure.
I think you need a more detailed diagnosis before jumping to replacement, unless there more to the story than previously stated.

I can't imagine making anything out of a RAV work in a van, at least not without a significant R&D budget.

    Re: Front differential

where did you end up getting parts for your front diff??

do the 4x4 pickups have parts?

Unfort I was just told my fron diff is NOT the same 7.5" diff that the rear is and possibly only 7.0" so all the 2wd 7.5" from pickups and previas will NOT work... so bummed.

Anybody know more about the 4x4 5 speed front diffs??
