1995 SC Fuse Block beside Battery Part Number

I tried ordering new one online for 1995 SC/ ABS/Alltrac, submitting my vin # & part # 82620-95D01 came up. Received part, but looks like version for non-SC. Missing Alt-S Fuse Location & doesn't mount to Battery Bkt in same style as mine. There aren't any good photos online that I can find. See attached photo of my Fuse Block that bolts to Battery Bkt.

Should be, but this # doesn't seem to exist on the internet anymore. I'll try local dealer.

Re: 1995 SC Fuse Block beside Battery Part Number

Correct part number is 82627-28010 (w/o ABS), or 82627-28020 (w/ABS)
    for 97 models (June 96 onwards builds), it's 82627-28011 (w/o ABS), or 82627-28021 (w/ABS)

Why you looked it up wrong/by mistake? Because the parts catalog sucks and they are cataloged under different part codes (non-S/C as 82620 and S/C as 82627A), plus VIN locking lookup is not reliable with old Toyotas in the catalog

Re: 1995 SC Fuse Block beside Battery Part Number

I read what you already said, and the misinformation wasn't worth the time going into explanation why you were wrong until now, since you insisted you're right.. That number printed on the cover is invalid, just like the OP said! Invalid for any region of the world...
The number is likely ONLY for the cover itself or some silly internal number... NEVER depend solely on the part numbers stamped on the part, you can easily get screwed this way... Ford, for example, is notorious for doing this, having an "engineering number", and a true part number

Do you trust it or me who have taken the time to actually look up the part in the OFFICIAL parts catalog and providing information on how to look it up?
It doesn't matter what any of us thinks though... invalid number is no good number... you're forced to use what's provided in the OFFICIAL parts catalog anyway (when used properly)

The OP never said the number on the cover is invalid, he said he couldn't find it on the net and the one he was sent (which was a different# ) was wrong.

To answer your question, if I had 2 identical fuse blocks in front of me and one had the same # as mine and the other didnt, I guess I would use the one that matched.

Re: 1995 SC Fuse Block beside Battery Part Number

    Couldn't find = invalid
You can search through all sorts of places, included toyodiy... that's part of the internet, you know ;)

He's trying to buy the part NEW... when that number is no good, it won't help you except if the brand new part also comes with the identical number/printing on the entire cover... sure, obviously the part and what's on the cover on the non-S/C fuse box is way different, that should be clue enough that it's not even the same, but to even get the right part to begin with, you need to look up the part properly (a challenge), and then order with that valid part number... then you're back to where you started... hoping the brand new part has a matching number printed on the cover... what if they updated the part and it has a different number? what then?

This logic unfortunately, only works well when you're buying a used/junk yard part
For brand new parts, you got to work off a good parts catalog

I'll take your word for it, I'm no parts expert.

Re: 1995 SC Fuse Block beside Battery Part Number

My 92 RWD has this number on cover...no ABS. Good to know the right part numbers though, thanks TheMan! Question as to why they refer to this as fusible links vs wire type

Re: 1995 SC Fuse Block beside Battery Part Number

    82620-95D01 is for ABS non-S/C
    82620-95D00 is for non-ABS, non-S/C
I think "fusible link" it's just a generic internal name assignment based on part code 82620

At least the number printed on the cover is a valid part number!

Confirmed with local dealer that "The Man" is correct with part # 82627-28020 being correct for my Van.
Does anyone have a nice spare that they would like to sell?

Re: 1995 SC Fuse Block beside Battery Part Number

Oh yea ,definitely, I searched his numbers online and they come back as the correct parts. They are still available new old stock but pricey as usual but Toyota quality! The search even has this thread on google already!
