    Spare tire/rim question

    I have a '87 4wd van, with the 4x4 aluminum wheels. My spare is not a Toyota rim AFAIK. It measures 16.5" and my aluminum 4x4 rims are 15". Running with Yokohama Supervan 356 195/75R14 tires.

    Can I use any stock Toyota Van rim for a spare, or do I need another (4x4 specific) rim?

    Thanks!

    4wd = 5 lug. 2wd = 4 lug.

    Need a 4wd one.

    Re: Spare tire/rim question

    Somewhere you are reading some thing wrong. You cannot run 195/75 R14 on 15" rims! The 4WD van only came with steel 14" rims from the factory. If your rims are Aluminium and 15" chances are they are Suzuki or Geo. Be careful of tire size as the spare may not fit in the spare basket. For spare I would stick with a standard OEM Toyota 4WD rim with proper size tire. Cheap and easy to find.
